Fado is a great place for getting down in the early hours. Drinks are pricey so go there already ready to party (or with someone else's credit card). If in the right mood, Fado is a great place to enjoy your night. Perfect for meeting people and getting your groove on.

Decent Dancing in Center City

A good spot to go if you are looking for a dance floor in Center City. Just make sure to go after 11PM or you might be dancing by yourself. Your beer tab can add up rather quickly at $6 a bottle. I can’t comment on the food. The DJ plays the music louder as the night goes on so mind your eardrums. You may have trouble hearing after a whole night at Fado.

Fado is THE place to watch soccer in Center City.  It gets crowded during big games and sometimes there's a $5 cover, but it's totally worth it.  There are tons of TV screens, food is your average Irish/English pub food - fish & chips, bangers and mash, etc.  The real draw is the crowd - lots of international students, US soccer fanatics, European businessmen - it's a great mix!

This is definitely a 'Philly bar' and the lines can be long on the weekends and for big games.  It has the old dingy pub feel without being to divey.  If you can snag one of the nooks, they are great for groups.  During the World Cup qualifiers, Fado's broadcasted a lot of the games.
