One of the best places as a student to get healthy foods nearby.  If you want you can take the trolly and it gets off right nearby but you still have to make the walk to your dorm or residency.  It pretty much sucks.  But yeah, it is still fun to make those trips if one of your friends has a car you can get there pretty easily.  I love the samples that they give out, too, mm.

Great organic food.

If you're looking to find some organic food for a good price you can definitely find it here.  They are near campus and you can definitely walk there.  I once walked back with too much food though and i was almost dead by the time I made it to my place.  they have parking in the back too which is pretty cool and convienient.  I love it.

Health concious.

If you are looking to be healthy for 2011, look no further!  Whole Foods look out, trader joes is here!  Woo!  They are really close to campus although it is a treck if you have a lot of groceries.  Great if you are taking that trolly that goes right next door!  Excellent place, love the free samples and i love the prices, not too shabby!

Lots of natural and organic selections here.  They've got great vegetables and fruits, too.  Also a good selection of tried fruit.  I love their vegan chocolate chips too!  I like their staff, too, they are always friendly and ready to help you if you need it.  They also have cool sodas athat are all natural!  Love the samples, too.

Pretty good prices, actually.

TJ's is always good for "healthy" food and there is enough of a selection that you can always find something pretty affordable. Check out the frozen section! Vegan chocolate is good, too! Also, they often have samples, awesome to try all sorts of fun meals that I'd never have time to cook on my own. Exotic dried fruits, too.

Chocolates are nice

Trader Joe's is one of the best places for anyone living in Philadelphia to shop. It is very inexpensive considering the quality of the product compared to its competitors (Whole Foods, etc.). In addition, if you're living in University City, it is definitely worth the 1.45 to get onto Septa and to come to Trader Joe's because the food/products are cheaper than those you can find at your local grocery store or CVS.

Great food!

Amazing selection of organic food and ingredients. Very fair prices. The yoghurt and pomegranate juice are great!

Great - location could have been better

This trader joe's is really good and usually you can get most things you are looking for.  The only thing that could be improved is the location as I heard that one time a student got mugged - avoid late at night.

Pretty good selection for your money

Good selection for good prices...though everything is Trader Joe's brand. But for the quality that you are getting, it's way better than deli selections. Area is a little shady towards the evening, but it's a great one-stop grocery destination otherwise.
