I do not recommend this place to anyone.  If you go to Upenn and you can spend dollars that you get in your meal plan, ok, but otherwise, i wouldn't do it.  It is seriously the biggest rip off of all time.  First, you go there and you get in line, try to order and it is super crowded.  They don't care about you and what you want and they treat you like s***.  If you get your food in one piece, be lucky.

Yuck!

Only thing going for it is its the only thing around. Sure you probably won't get sick from it but the food and drinks don't have much else going for them - plus it's expensive!!

blah.

A chain, yes, but really tasty. Delicious soups, great tasting breakfast delights, and really good sandwiches. Of course, expect to spend an arm and a leg. Remember, to check quality of purchases when you are spending so much! Is it truly organic/healthy? Make sure to double check!

Notoriously bad

Everytime I go there I swear I'll never go back.  But I continue to anyway because it's the only food in Huntsman Hall.  Not that the food is bad, necessarily.  It depends who is making it that day honestly.  Sometimes everything is fine, sometimes the sandwiches are squished or the salads have hardly anything in them.  And it's expensive for what you get.  But what I hate the most is the experience.  The place has a huge seating area that makes the choosing-your-food-and drink area comparatively tiny.  In-between classes it gets so insane in there that you can't get through, let alone try to browse for what you want.  Then you have to stand in a huge line that bobs and weavings around all the tables so that you can pay.  It's pretty much impossible to get in and out in the 10 minute break between classes.  There must be a better way to streamline things, but they don't seem to care.  The staff is mostly surly.  When they scream "next in line!" I feel like I'm being punished for making them work.  Once I was saw a staff member at the soup area who was angry that the self-serve soup pot's lid had fallen into the soup.  She picked it up and started wildly looking around and screaming "Who did this!  Excuse me!  Who did this!!"  I'm sorry, who is the customer and who is getting paid here??

really??
