when people ask me if i've been to Distrito, i say,"i have wet dreams about the Chilango Chop Salad." it's true. i'm also a fan of the fish tacos (duh), but they're very small. in fact, if you're having lunch here, i definitely recommend the "Blue Demon Express". it includes an app, entree and beverage and it's the perfect amount of food for a hungry girl like me. oh, and can you say "Mexican ice cream?" gee whizz.

Ok, so they've stocked every brand of tequila, but what have they achieved? The design is funky and the appetizers impressive enough for companies to use as their new restaurant close to campus to woo students... But it's expensive for nothing and the portions are excessively small... the ceasar salad had 3 pieces of lettuce... no comment
Tacos, Tacos, Tacos

I wasn't impressed the first time I went to Distrito. I found their "Mexican" cuisine to be sort of contrived and not really that creative or interesting for the money. BUT, after reading Alan Richman's review that they had the best tacos on the East Coast, I gave 'em a second try and.... he was right. I only go there for the tacos and it should definitely be one of the things you try there. But, for its price, you could easily buy a bottle of Patron, go to Lolita and have better food and margaritas.
Fancy Mexican Tapas in a Funky Environment

This place is definitely one of a kind. I mean, Mexican fighting masks stare at you from the stairwell, theirs a car next to the bar, funky booth seating and pink lighting. The tapas are more on the pricey side so I would suggest going with a group as oppose to a date. Food tips: Ceviche, Margaritas Wharton kids -- good place to suggest for "Professor Lunches"
