The Wanamaker building is a great building with terrific views and a perfect location for Wharton/Penn grad students.  Take a look...we have loved it!

Good Bldg, but a few major caveats

I like the layouts, doormen, location, and the price is good (I pay $2400 for a 2BR). However, the internet in the building is TERRIBLE. It is so slow and goes in and out. This has been a huge source of frustration as a student. Also, beware that Allan Domb will NOT let you sublet in the summer (they will threaten to sue you). So this is a huge loss of money over the summer if you are a student and intern elsewhere.

Great building, very nice doormen

I got an apartment at the Wanamaker House as it was highly recommended by an alum.  I lucked out as an apartment freed up just as I wanted to move in.  Having stayed in this building and seen many others, I cannot endorse this building highly enough.  The doormen are awesome, I always felt so safe, the location could not have been more convenient, the building is very well maintained and the admin staff really goes above and beyond to ensure this is one of the best properties in Philadelphia. Highly recommended.

Lived there for two year - no complaints. Great location and building is in good shape. The exercise room gets the job done, but desperately needs new equipment.

I've lived in a studio for the last two years and it's been a great deal, especially because I was in NYC before school.  The only issue I have had is with Allan Domb the management firm that I used to get the apartment.  Initially, they said I could sublease my apartment before I signed the lease but later I found out that I'm not able to even if it's a friend staying at my apartment. My kitchen is a little dated, but the view from the 27th floor facing north is awesome.  Overall, it's a spacious studio compared most other apartments and for $1375 a month it's a good deal.  The doorman are great and the gym is adequate unless you really like to use free weights.

Fantastic location, great space and reasonably priced for the full package. The studio units are fantastic for one person with tons of closet space, a lot of light and plenty of space. Management and doorman very responsive.

Our pad is on the 27th floor which gives us one of the best views in Philly.  Building is great.  Downsides are the kitchen is from the 1970s (literally) and the management company is difficult.  Location is second to none.  Door staff is top notch and friendly
