More than 2 is too many! It will get messy, less room, less privacy and possibly drama if there's 3 or more. Make sure you know the person personally before moving in.

i live in a house with 7 other girls. i think that is too much! i went from a 3 person to 8 and miss it. ideally 3 i believe is just perfect. there is more space and if you have more chances not to be stuck home by yourself.

If your in a house with 2 other people that is great! But if you have 3 or more it gets to be a bit much. There are too many personalities and conflicts and differences that come along with being in a house with that many people. There is a lot of conflicts of interests and if you can avoid it try to.
I would definitely have to say that it really depends on the
size of the house first, and whether or not you get along second. If the house is big enough for 10 people,
then it’s not really a problem. If there
are too many people squished in two rooms, there will be constant
problems. Personally I don’t like to
live with more than two people, but if there were 5 bedrooms, I could probably
deal with 6 other people.

I think more than 4/5 roommates is a perfect number. I used to live in a house with 10 girls, (it was 2 separate units) so that helps a bit because we really only deal with half of them when you bump head in the living room. But 5 girls in one housing is a fun number. I think 3 is too little because one might favor the other. You want to have a peaceful atmosphere but at the same time have some fun. With 5 girls, I am sure someone is always home. Of course, I am saying this in term that you already your possible roomate.
