A bit out of the way to get there, but a worthwhile trip. There is a lot of lovely Impressionism and 20th century works. The atmosphere is less like a museum and more like a regal nobleman's house. But best of all are the gardens at back, designed to accentuate the natural beauty of the place!

This is a must see in Philly, especially since the museum is being moved from its current location to the Ben Franklin Parkway. Reserve tickets in advance and eat a good breakfast so that you can spend long hours admiring the various works of art. For the impressionism lovers, you will want to go back and back again. The house is small, but the walls of each room are covered with Renoirs, Monets, Manets, etc.One of the best activities to do in Philadelphia!
