Not the flashest gym but it has all the equipment you need and never gets too busy. For $22 per month and no fixed term its hard to beat.

Good price, decent gym

Great price - about $30 for month.  Basic gym - nothing fancy.  Works well if you just want a place to workout without paying for extras.

Has the basics that anyone needs at a gym.  Very convenient center city location.  Friendly staff.  Don't have to wait for a machine.  Drawback: no towels and not a lot of sanitary products.

If the location works for you, they have a decent number of good classes and the best part is it's relatively cheap month to month contract. Not a bad deal at all.

They clain no one year commintment, but you have to read the fine print.    My husband attempted to cancel his membership, but the club continues to charge him.  The issue is still being debated - be careful - they are shady!

For the price, Bally's can't be beat. Not a great gym, older equipment and no individual TV's, but only $30/month so a great option to supplement a Pottruck membership (to use on weekends when you're not on campus)

Affordable, decent facilities

Likes

  • Very affordable, especially if you sign up under a special
  • Don't have to wait for a machine, even during peak hours
  • Offer a decent array of classes, however instructor and class quality is hit or miss
  • Staff is helpful and friendly
  • Membership is very diverse so you can feel comfortable working out at any fitness level

Dislikes

  • Locker facilities are mediocre
  • No towel service
  • Lack of sanitizing products; could have more cleaning wipes or AB hand stations to prevent spread of germs
  • Could offer more classes in early morning or late evening to accomodate member schedules

Good for the price

Old gym that isn't in great shape. Locker rooms not well maintained. But for the incredible price (~$25-$35/month) with no 1-year commitment required, it's really a great deal if you live close by.
