Rittenhouse Square is beautiful, although I recommend more the Washington Square park because of its beautiful Washington Monument memorial thing and the flame that burns all the time. It is really beautiful and a site to see. I highly enjoy the area and shopping around it, there is a barnes and noble and some other shops. Also ethical society building is here!

If you are looking to spend some quality time with someone special, let me recommend rittenhouse square. I have had many fine dates here. You can go out somewhere really nice for dinner and then spend some quality time in the park. It is cold now, but in the spring and summer you can have something to look forward to! Look out for dogs!

I remember when I first came to Philly this was the first place that I hung out. It is located by a lot of food and shopping places so you can eat ouside. In the winter it is not so great but oh well! Fun to go here with friends or on a date, walk around, explore, feed some pigeons and people watch. Highly recommended site in Philadelphia.

The place to chill in Philadelphia on a nice day. Not too great in the winter, but duh, it is cold. You'll see a lot of rich Philadelphians walking around here with their mangy poodles, people strollin', babies, rangers, everything. Fun place to have a picnic. Go to Starbucks, grab a coffee and relax!

This is the place to hang out. Seriously! Need a place to go, you can go here for a picnic. Just don't solicit or you will be jumped by cops. Great place to hang out to relax for lunch, too. I tend to do that, just come here and take a deep breath. Phew. The day is better.

I love Rittenhouse Sqaure. It always evokes in me a certain pleasantry due to its natural charm in such a metroplitan city such as Philadelphia. Nearby entertaining and cultural museems, restaurants, and bookstores abound. I used to work in an office right on its border, and it was always a great experience to have a picnic on the lawn weather permitting, being able to head into Barnes and Nobles and order a nice cup of coffee, or grab a slice of pizza at Pietro's down the street.
Even if you love the city, you need to see some grass once and while. Bring a date, read a book or just lay out. Escape a little. You'll feel much better.
