Neighborhood Bike Works

Neighborhood Bike Works aka the Bike Church is on Penn's campus but don't be fooled - it's a low-cost, gritty place to buy a bike from friendly West Philly types, or to get your bike fixed. They're open at night mostly except during the day on Saturday. They have a cool range of bikes and if you ever wanted to pick up some bike expertise without shelling out the big bucks this is the place to do it. If you're more of a do-gooder you can do what I did which is volunteer in a class for kids. It is really fun, although kind of demanding.
