If you are a biker in the city, you should definitely check out Fairmount Bicycles. They are a great source for information on bike routes, but of course, they also do repairs and you can purchase parts and all that from them. They are really helpful and they are truely the best in the city. It is hard to find any better even close to campus. Very hard.

I came here with my bike and they seemed to be a little eh. They could be nicer. Yes, this is a great place to rent a bike so it is really nice. However yeah they don't seem to really like fixing bikes and they didn't really answer my quesitons to well. Jeez, I am new at biking, not a pro, they could be nicer for sure.
Great Bike Rental Place

First off, there are SO few bike rentals in Philadelphia and it is such a fun activity when you have parentals or friends in town. Fairmount is a little out of the way from school but worth the hike. You can be in and out of there in 10 minutes and you'll be close to the Schuykill River Trail. The cost is $18 for 4 hours or $30 bucks for 24 hours, totally worth it for a day long activity. You'll be outfitted with a helmet and lock as well. Definitely check it out.
