Chattersource's Student Organization Program

helps your organization promote itself and raise money for parties, charity fundraisers, happy hours and other meetings. Currently you can promote your group FREE on Chattersource, and you can earn cash by participating in Chatterpoints fundraising.

Promote your group FREE on Chattersource.com

Chattersource reaches masses of students through its newsletters and online presence. While business pay to promote on Chattersource, we allow students to promote your organization or FREE. All you have to do is:

Send us either one or both of the following:

• Site display ads should be 72 dpi, 200px wide and no more than 100px tall

• Newsletter inserts can be a blurb of up to 100 words

Each time you mention our website in your club emails or newsletter, we’ll post your advertisement online for 1 week and/or in 1 newsletter.

Earn Cash with Chatterpoints Fundraising

This new program can help your Student Organization raise money for parties, charity fundraisers, happy hours and other meetings. Here is how it works:

Overview

When students register for Chattersource with their @school.edu email address, they will immediately start accumulating Chatterpoints for writing reviews, voting on polls, creating listings and tons of other things. In fact, any student will receive 25 points immediately, just for registering! The more points your members earn on Chattersource, the more cash your organization earns.

So how does my student organization get the credit?

Step 1: Register your Student Organization with Chattersource. We just need some basic information about your group which you can fill out here. Fill out the form here: http://www.chattersource.com/sopregistration

Step 2: Send out the Referral Code to your members. Members will use this code when they register for Chattersource.com. Make sure they sign-up with an @school.edu email in order to write reviews and qualify for the program. They can change it to a personal email immediately after they’ve fully registered.

What will earn my members points?

There are a variety of ways for your members to earn Chatterpoints.

Register - 25 points

Write a review - 10 points

Invite a friend that registers - 10 points

Create a new listing - 5 points

Receive a “Thank You” - 2 points

Invite a friend - 1 point

Vote on a Poll - 1 point

How do I redeem Chatterpoints for cash?

Easy. All you’re group has to do is hit these goals:

Points - Total Cash

1000 - $75

2500 - $200

5000 - $500

10000 - $1250

Tips to rack up points

  1. Each registration earns your group 25 points. That means 40 registrations = 1000 pts = $75
OR 20 registrations plus 2-3 reviews each = 1000 pts.
  2. Creating a new listing and writing a review earns you 15 pts, that’s a hefty combo.
  3. Invite friends outside your club by using the Invite a Friend button on our website. Every new registrant will earn your group 10 points. New registrants do not have to be club members to earn you points.

How long is this program running

Chattersource is running the SOP through at least the end of 2010.

What else do I need to know?

  1. Reviews must be deemed “high quality” in order to qualify. That means reviews must be at least 3 lines long, relevant, and follow the site’s terms and conditions.
  2. Chattersource has the right to subtract Chatterpoints of any user that appears to be taking advantage of the Student Org Program.
  3. Chattersource has the right to disqualify any student group that appears to be taking advantage of the Student Org Program
