Who We Are

What is Chattersource?
Chattersource is a local review and recommendation website designed exclusively for students

Who We Are
Chattersource was founded in 2010 by Amy Cooper and Kristina Anderson while they were graduate students at Wharton. As newbies to Philadelphia they needed a new apartment, hair salon and bicycle shop but found existing review sites to be too big and cluttered to be useful.  Once they did find that great nail salon or cup of Joe, they wanted an easy, fun way to share this information with their
friends at school… and so Chattersource was born
.

How can Chattersource help me?
If you're new to the Philadelphia area, Chattersource has a compiled list of best places--reviewed by your peers--to go for dinner with your parents, local BYOs, sight-seeing, hair salons, and more! You'll be able to hear the reviews made by other students about their experiences and opinions of these places. Now you can prevent yourself from going to a restaurant with horrible service or discover an amazing store!

Is Chattersource just a review website?
Chattersource is not just a review website for restaurants and bars. It can also help you find housing all over the Philadelphia area. You can find sublets, apartments, condos. In addition, there are listings ranging from on campus and off campus from all regions of Philadelphia.

What makes Chattersource different from other review sites?
Chattersource is a website designed only for students. There are no owners acting as students giving themselves good reviews on our site since we require all accounts to have a school email address. In addition, Chattersource is localized in Philadelphia, making the experience online more personal. After all, who knows Philly the best besides people who live in Philly themselves?

I just moved to Philadelphia for the first time. What should I do?

By looking through our compiled reviews and information, you can see which apartments are closest to Penn and safest to live in, stores that give you the best grocery, cheap furniture to buy from other students through the use of an exclusive marketplace, and just the best experiences to enjoy your time here in Philadelphia. On top of all that, we have exclusive special deals for our loyal users!
