From beauty products to shoes to health and wellness pick-me-ups, subscription boxes are a huge trend that everyone seems to be loving. But you can get a lot more in a subscription than just scented candles, face masks and fitness gear. There are a handful of subscription boxes out there that will curate a box of clothing for you too!
Interested in signing up for a clothing subscription box but aren’t sure which one to choose? Here are the seven best clothing subscription boxes, regardless of your style profile.
What to Look For in a Subscription Box
Before you sign up for a monthly subscription, make sure the service is going to pay off for you. First of all, check the price. If you can’t afford it, pass! There’s no reason to go into debt to just have a few new threads in your closet.
Browse the styles, brands, and sizes before you order. Make sure that the service you choose has a good selection of items you like to find the best subscription box for your styling needs.
It’s also important to know how style plans are chosen for you and how frequently you’ll receive a shipment. Every service has its own shipping policy, return policy and selection service with a different monthly fee, so make sure that you choose the one that suits your lifestyle and personal style.
Ready to get started? Here are our seven favorite subscription boxes for men and women.
Trunk Club
If you’re a Nordstrom shopper, Trunk Club is for you. It’s not a traditional subscription where you pay X dollars per month and get X number of things. Instead, Nordstrom offers this service for a $25 styling fee per box.
Here’s how it works:
You fill out a style quiz. Nordstrom stylists will then send you an array of items based on your preferences. You can try them on at home, keep and pay for what you want, or return them all.
Trunk Club has a huge selection of incredible brands for men and women, high-quality clothing items, and you can schedule how often you want to receive deliveries.
For each box you receive, you’ll pay a $25 styling fee. If you return everything, you’ll still have to pay that fee. But if you keep items, that fee will be applied towards the purchase of items. If you have a Nordstrom credit card, the styling fee is $0. It is basically like having a personal stylist, but you don’t have to leave your house!
Stitch Fix
Take a style quiz, choose your price range, and Stitch Fix will start sending you outfits as often as you like! Like Nordstrom’s Trunk Club, a subscription is not required. You’ll pay a $20 styling fee that can be applied towards any items you decide to keep. If they ship you items you don’t like, you can send them back, free of charge.
Stitch Fix sells a huge range of sizes, including women’s petites, maternity, plus and men’s big and tall. With brands ranging from Madewell to The North Face to Nike, Stitch Fix has something for everyone and every level of taste. From workwear to athleisure, Stitch Fix checks all the boxes for a clothing box.
Frank And Oak
If it’s sustainable clothing that you crave, check out Frank And Oak. Featuring clothing and accessories for men and women, the Frank And Oak subscription plan typically range from $150 to $250 per month, depending on the items you choose to keep.
Just input your style preferences and sizes and a Frank And Oak stylist will curate a box of 3 to 5 items for you each month. You can keep what you like and send back the rest. If you decide to return the entire box, you will be charged a $25 styling fee.
Trendy Butler
Unlike most clothing subscription boxes, Trendy Butler operates like a true subscription service. For $65 per month, guys can get a curated box of 2-3 items hand-picked by a stylist based on your taste and brand preferences.
There are no styling fees involved – the $65 covers the cost of your items. And if there’s something you don’t like, you can return it or exchange it for something else.
Trendy Butler sells a variety of contemporary menswear brands. In a typical monthly box you can expect to see a combination of different items, such as hoodies, pants, button down shirts and sweaters.
