With the change of seasons comes a change in trends. Winter trends can be difficult when all you want to do is put on a million layers or stay inside completely to keep warm.

Our guide is here to help you sift through this season’s hottest trends and apply them to your wardrobe while still staying warm. We can help you stay fashion-forward while also dressing properly for the inclement weather.

Below are the 7 winter trends to look out for this holiday season.

Trend #1: Printed Tights

This trend is perfect for bringing out your inner schoolgirl, think Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl! It’s also ideal to wear your skirts and dresses in winter but keeping your legs warm.

Designer brands like Gucci and Fendi have brought out their own logo branded tights that have been super popular, but you can get the same look for less with a polka dot, leopard, knitted sweater or patterned tights.

Trend #2: Combat/hiker boots

Is there a more practical winter trend than combat boots? The answer is no.

These trendy boots are comfortable, will keep your feet warm, and offer great traction walking around in the snow and ice. They look great paired with jeans, dresses, and skirts, so try these out instead of your booties or knee-high boots.

Some of our favorite combat boots are:

Trend #3: Plaid/Houndstooth

Plaid and houndstooth reappear every year during the winter months, and I am here for it.

These styles look great paired with the moodier winter color palette and also add texture to your outfit. Plaid and houndstooth tend to be thicker materials, so they are perfect for keeping warm.

Add this trend into your wardrobe with pants, blazers and jackets, or even accessories like headbands.

Trend #4: Neon

An unexpected trend that is super popular during the winter months is neon. It’s fun to go colorful with your outfit when most people are going to the dark side.

Color also tends to brighten your mood, which is necessary during those gloomy winter days.

Get the sweater look or try a jacket look. Have fun with this trend; we are loving it!

Trend #5: Shearling/Sherpa

Sherpa and shearling items are everywhere this season. This is another practical trend for keeping you warm and cozy. Think sherpa jackets, hoodies, and even handbags are going sherpa.

Shop the Sherpa Zip Sweatshirt, or a few of our other favorites are Levi’s Ex-Boyfriend Sherpa Trucker Jacket, Stand Clara Faux-Shearling Coat, and the Thread and Supply Faux Shearling Lined Buffalo Plaid Vest. For some more affordable options, Amazon is always a great place to look.

Trend #6: Winter Whites

Rules are meant to be broken, right?

Especially when it comes to fashion, throw the ‚Äúno white after Labor Day‚ÄĚ rule out the window this winter! Monochromatic looks are always in style, and white during the winter is unexpected and looks really chic. These are a few of our favorite winter white options:¬†

Trend #7: Headbands

The ’90s are making a comeback, and this popular Fall trend has carried over into the winter. The holidays are a perfect time to give crystal or pearl embellished headbands a try, and if those are too flashy for you, silk, satin, and velvet are also great for the winter months.

Get the velvet braided headband look. We also love the white pearl headband look to go with your winter whites.
